Spy Blimp

In the skies over the lower Florida Keys, a spy blimp is always keeping watch. First deployed in the 80s, the blimp scans for boats and planes that may be carrying drugs or people into the US through the Straits of Florida.
This surveillance art project is a typological exploration of the blimp and the sky. Simultaneously beautiful and sinister, the scenes contrast the natural beauty of the Keys with the omnipresent government surveillance system.
